Experience and Education

Jorge is responsible for the oversight and management of client relationships, striving to exceed client expectations by delivering excellent service through developing investment policy guidelines, optimizing investment portfolios, selecting investment managers, presenting performance-monitoring reports, and conducting trustee education on a wide range of investment topics. He also helps to ensure clients receive accurate documentation and reports on their timeline, maintaining current knowledge of each client’s manager lineup and general market issues. Jorge acts as the primary point of contact in relation to all servicing issues related to the client and is required to be proactive in communication regarding portfolios, firm and Plan issues as they arise. Jorge may leverage Mariner’s colleagues as required in order to meet the clients’ varying needs.

Prior to joining the firm, Jorge was a consultant at AndCo, an investment consulting firm that was acquired by Mariner. While here, he served as primary consultant for institutional plans, supporting clients with investment and fiduciary responsibilities. Jorge also focused on providing investment recommendations, asset allocation, investment manager evaluations, investment policy guidelines and compliance. Before that, Jorge was senior investment consultant at Newport Group Consulting, where he focused on the implementation and management of prudent fiduciary investment and governance processes. He also assisted in the development of asset allocation and hedge strategies for institutional clients.

Jorge has an MBA from University of Central Florida and a bachelor’s degree in Finance from University of Central Florida.

Personal Interests

Away from the office, Jorge enjoys playing tennis and soccer. He is a fan of the UCF Knights, Orlando City and FC Barcelona.
