Robert Neigert, JD, LL.M.
Experience and Education
An eight-year resident of Austin, Texas, Robert works with a diverse client base that includes closely held entities, business owners, individuals and families. He works with clients on income and transfer taxes, retirement funding, investment management, asset protection, business succession and estate planning and trusts.
Robert brings more than 15 years of tax and wealth management experience to Mariner. Previously he oversaw the fiduciary practice at the Northern Trust offices in Austin, Texas. Prior to that, he administered multigenerational trust relationships at US Trust/Bank of America.
Robert has an honors bachelor’s degree in history with a concentration in legal history from the University of Kansas, a Juris Doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Law and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation, from the University of San Diego School of Law. He is a member of the State Bar of California, a member of the Estate Planning Council of Central Texas and a member of the Wealth Management & Trust Division of the Texas Bankers Association. He is also a member of the Austin Bar Association Estate Planning & Probate Section, the Austin Bar Association Tech Law Section and the Austin Bar Association Oil, Gas & Mineral Section.

Raised in Caracas, Venezuela, with dual United States and European Union (Germany) citizenships, Robert speaks German and Spanish fluently.
