John provides clients with comprehensive wealth management services to help them achieve their goals and provides integrated planning and strategies to help them grow and protect their wealth.

Prior to joining Mariner, John served as director, financial planning at Edelman Financial Engines. Before that, he was a financial consultant at T. Rowe Price.

John has a bachelor’s degree in English from Towson University and a master’s degree in personal financial planning from the College for Financial Planning.

Personal Interests

John is a dedicated community member with a strong passion for both local philanthropy and fitness. His involvement with the Mariner Foundation and other nonprofits in Charleston shows a commitment to making a positive impact while his active participation in local outdoor fitness groups like the OUTsiders and their smaller affiliate, Legends, reflects his focus on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. His love for the Baltimore Orioles, Baltimore Ravens and The Wire highlight his deep roots in Charm City while calling Charleston his new home.
