Experience and Education

Michael leads the private investments efforts at Mariner and is responsible for manager research, selection, oversight of the private investments platform, and advisor and client communications related to alternatives. He serves on the Investment Committee and the Private Investment Committee.

Prior to joining Mariner, Michael was a vice president at Comvest Partners, a West Palm Beach, Florida-based private investment firm. He began his career at Blackstone in the firm’s private equity investor relations and business development group and worked as a management consultant at Marakon, a boutique strategy consultancy. Additionally, he served as an economics associate in the White House under President Obama.

Michael has a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and political science from the University of Pennsylvania, graduating cum laude. He also has an MBA from the Columbia Business School, where he graduated with Dean’s Honors.

Personal Interests

Away from the office, Michael enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, personal investing, following current events and politics, and college football.
