Experience and Education

Whitney provides clients with comprehensive wealth management services to help them achieve their goals as well as integrated planning and strategies to help them grow and protect their wealth.

Prior to becoming a wealth advisor, Whitney served as a director of investment education and integration at Mariner, overseeing the onboarding, training and integration from an investment perspective of all wealth teams, from newly acquired firms to individual new hires. She developed and drove the firm’s strategy related to investment training, education and ongoing learning needs. In addition, she built an investment onboarding and integration process for acquired firms to become aligned with Mariner’s investment philosophy and approach. Whitney has also been responsible for many aspects of the investment team, including asset allocation, model management and helping develop the communication protocol for investment messaging throughout the firm.

Earlier in her career, Whitney was a regional consultant at Montage Investments, where she worked to develop its product sales channel. While there, she acquired sales and relationship management expertise in offering investment products to financial professionals across multiple channels, including RIA, family office, wirehouse and independent broker-dealer.

Whitney has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Kansas and an MBA with a concentration in finance and international business from Rockhurst University.

Personal Interests

Away from the office, Whitney serves as chairman of the board and was founder of the Bicknell Legacy Foundation, the next-generation foundation for the Bicknell family. She is also Angel Board chair for The Children’s Place, a trauma treatment center in Kansas City for children under age 8. She has been involved with The Children’s Place since 2017 and previously served as a volunteer, Angel Board member and Angel Board Gala chair.
